Neither of the RSS feeds will update and they continue to show the information that was 'fed' at the time I submitted the URL. One of my feeds is an online calendar and it is important that it update daily. The feeds are as follows: http://birminghammom.com/feed http://calendar.birminghammom.com/events/rss/
Yes, the birminghamom.com/feed is working correctly now. However, the calendar.birminghammom.com/events/rss is not. When I compare the links to the app, it is different. Note: it was correct for about 24 hours.
According to our logs and the app, your feed is updated.
Now it won't appear to be that way to you and here's why:
a) You are adding events to the calendar b) Your feed is visually organized by date c) Our system crawls your feed when you update it. So, if you added something today about an event on the 22nd, it will show top or if you added something yesterday about an event today, it will show lower on the feed. When you click on "get more posts" you will see that all your event dates are actually in the feed.
Perhaps you can get help from someone to program this so that it fits our mode of crawling better. Sorry.
Would it help if I reset the feed from the isites dashboard each time we made changes to the calendar. Why would the system crawl the information differently than the feed? We actually utilized this programming because the RSS feed is chronological. Is there someone on the Genwi staff who can assist because we anticipated the need to have an RSS feed that was organized by date but it sounds like your system does not crawl the information as presented by the feed (I have a feed from this calendar exactly like the situation you described - as entered into the calendar). If I can't get this to work then we'll have to cancel the subscription.
