Add http:// to quick post media link

This is something -- not related to the issue I just posted about -- that I noticed this weekend.
It would be nice if the field for the media link added that http:// if a user only entered www. Without the http, the link won't work. I noticed that when I typed a URL into Firefox, it displays the page without adding http to the URL. This means that if I copy/paste the URL from FireFox, I have to remember to type http. Thanks in advance. -
