The podcast in my app, Cruise Aficionados, displays a "Play Podcast" button, which is looping back to the page. There is a web page link below it. This is a bit confusing to folks visiting the app, especially when they get linked out to another page just to listen.

Isn't the app supposed to allow for embedded listening? And how to do I eliminate the Play Podcast button since it doesn't seem to work?

Hi Nathan,

What device are you testing on? We used the Android and the Instant app and the podcast button worked to play your Podcast.

Instant App technology does not allow us to open media within the app itself. It will unfortunately take the user out of the app. We are trying to innovate for a solution to this problem.

However, this is not an issue with Native apps. On the Android for example, when I clicked the back button, I went back to your original post.

I'm using a Motorola Droid 2, fully up-to-date.

I go from Catagoreis to Click Podcast to Click Play Podcast

That takes me to a duplicate screen without the app header banner. I click Play Podcast again, and it takes me back to the same page with a header banner, and with a Share/Comments/Favorites/Next/Previous menu on the bottom. But no audio, player, or indication anything is happening.

Plus I seem to have to click the Web page link twice before I get to the actual webpage. With the aforementioned menu popping up once. But no playing starts.

But I can navigate back to the app from the podcast page as you noted.

This is interesting.

I used the Droid Incredible and I was able to play your app without a single hitch, as soon as I clicked the play podcast button.
